EPD
This document is required for facilities that have explosive atmospheres formed by the mixing of flammable gases, vapors, mists, and dusts with air under atmospheric conditions. It must be presented to inspectors during Ministry Labor Inspection Board audits.
Legal Basis: Required under the "Regulation on Protection of Workers from Explosive Atmospheres" published in the Official Gazette No. 28633 dated 30.04.2013.
Major Industrial Accident Risk Management
Under the "Regulation on Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents and Reduction of Their Effects" (30 December 2013, Official Gazette), establishments holding hazardous chemicals are required to submit a BEKRA notification.
As a result of the notification, establishments are classified as Lower Tier, Upper Tier, or Out of Scope.
Warning: Failure to fulfil the notification obligation results in monetary fines under Article 12 of the Environmental Law No. 2872.
